Seattle Yachts in Anacortes is actively recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Accountant with minimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing setting in progressive accounting roles. This Manufacturing Accountant is accountable for three small and growing manufacturing divisions with plant-level responsibilities.

What You’ll Do:
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensures financials are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting standards for manufacturing business; analyzes standard cost variances and their root causes; report variances on a timely basis.
- Manage month-end close financial reporting, analysis, forecasts, and planning processes.
- Track labor reporting and cost, material costs, manufacturing overhead and inventory levels.
- High focus on working capital management, working in conjunction with finance, operations, purchasing, and sales, to maximize cash flow.
- Plan and monitor capital expenditure budgeting considering project cost, cash flow, and ROI.
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results. Investigate and explain the book to physical adjustments.
- Document and understand ERP system (Dockmaster would be preferred), hardware, and reporting conventions and serve as the on-site IT expert.
- Manage and account for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Manage and account for payroll reporting and tax compliance and processing.
- Manage accounting systems transitions and integration for acquisitions and segmentations.
- Analyze internal controls to ensure assets are adequately safeguarded, and results are accurately reported.

• Identify defects such as: cracks, blisters, stress fractures and cosmetic flaws.
• Estimate repair times, plan for materials, coordinate jobs with management
• Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas by using appropriate power or hand-tools.
• Prep fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair.
• Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly.
• Mix Gel coat catalyst and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors.
• Buff and polish repaired surfaces.

Service writers ensure that a customer's needs are being fulfilled. Service writers possess product knowledge and bring efficiency to the relationship between a customer and the business. Working as a liaison for the business, an effective service writer brings competence to a customer's experience by coordinating the transaction.

Job duties for a service writer revolve around the needs of the customer. They develop relationships with customers through successful management of product or service delivery. Their duties can include tracking repairs and their causes, scheduling technicians and processing warranties. Customer profile information is stored in a computer system, which the service writer is responsible for maintaining.

Additional duties of a service writer involve developing cost estimates. When a customer requests a repair, the service writer works with the appropriate department(s) to determine how much time should be allocated to make the repair and schedule the appropriate technician for the job based on the customer and their repair needs. This information is conveyed to both the customer and the employer of the service writer in a timely fashion. $18-22/hour DOE

As a Member of our Paint Department, you'll work with painting equipment used in coating applications.
